Hasegawa 1/48 F104C/G Starfighter Cockpit Project

Part 4 - F-104 Black Box  1/32 Finished Cockpit!

Note: The coaming is temporarily held in position with a piece of Blue Tac for these pictures.

There are some "fit" issues to be resolved yet on this pit, but that's another story. Needless to say that the BB instructions are rather vague and need improvement. That said, I want to complement Black Box for producing an excellent aftermarket 1/32 pit for the F-104.

Also note that the Throttle Lever has been inadvertently left off the left side panel.  It will be added and show up in another picture!

I feel that this is my best pit construction effort to date. While it is no where near perfect, it satisfy's me and I enjoyed constructing it. A major contributor to my improved cockpit result here has been the acquisition of an "Optivisor"!

Dime and Throttle lever now added. Throttle lever is 1/48 scale as the floor monster devoured the 1/32 lever. I'm still looking<g>!! Pics below do not have the throttle lever.
